Climate Care is a unique 'waste management' organisation whose work offsets the CO2 produced by burning fossil fuels such as gas. Some of this offsetting will be done by investing money to speed up the introduction of renewable energy and energy efficiency programmes. The balance will be done by replanting deforested and degraded sites around the world, to help 'soak up' the CO2 produced. The forests will be used mainly for wildlife conservation. An environmental steering committee of internationally respected experts, including the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), ensures that all Climate Care projects adhere to strict ethical and environmental guidelines. | | | | | | | | | | Additional Cost (approx. £30/yr) | | | | | The Climate Care gas tariff allows you to give a proportion of the money you pay for your gas (0.119p per kWh) to repair the effects of global warming.
